For local and regional entities, there are a variety of funding sources available to perform community development tasks. SIDC works with local and regional residents in order to secure funding for their community development projects.

Eligible project types for planning are infrastructure, dam/levee evaluations, comprehensive plans, downtown
revitalization plans, economic development plans, public facilities plans, historic preservation plans (funding ranges from
$20,000-$50,000 depending on type of plan)
Stormwater Drainage Improvements Fund
Stormwater Drainage Improvements Fund
The Storm Improvements Program (SIP) is designed to fund projects that focus to reduce flooding, cut stormwater treatment and energy costs, protect rivers, lakes and vital landscape and to generate jobs and that spur economic revitalization. The program has a maximum grant award of $600,000 with a minimum 10% local match.
Water / Wastewater Improvements Fund
Water / Wastewater Improvements Fund
The Water/Wastewater Improvements Fund (WDW) is designed to fund projects that allow for infrastructure improvements to either water or wastewater utilities. The program is a collaborative effort between OCRA, SRF, and RD
for completion of comprehensive infrastructure system improvements.
Main Street Revitalization Program (MSRP)
Main Street Revitalization Program (MSRP)
This program is intended for communities to help homeowners through the Owner Occupied Repair (OOR) Program. Communities may apply for grant funding in order to complete repairs on owner occupied residential properties.
Public Facilities Fund
Public Facilities Fund
The Public Facilities Fund (PFP) is designed to fund projects enhance the lives of residents. These projects can include but are not limited to ADA Accessibility, Community, Learning, Healthcare, Senior and Daycare Centers, Dams/Levees, Fire Protection/EMS Buildings, Historic Preservation, Libraries, Parks and Recreation and Special Needs Buildings.

Indiana Site Certified Program
The Indiana Site Certified program certifies sites that are ready for economic development. Communities of any size may apply for the designation through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
